Shalom Brothers and Sisters,
Welcome to the CSWI Online Bible Study. This will undoubtedly be quite a learning experience for us all, as we delve deeper into the Word of God together. I ask that we each pray for discernment as we explore the prophetic pages of the Bible; that God will give us a sound and firm understanding as He speaks to each of us through His perfect Word.
Please know, in all likelihood, there will be differences of opinion here. We all think differently and we all interpret what we read differently. We are all human. The purpose of our bible study is to learn from each other. "Iron forges iron" here. Let each of us embark on this journey with an open mind and ready to receive God's intended message.
Keep in mind that we will first be endeavoring into a study of bible prophecy for a season. Since much of the bible has prophetic implications, you can probably imagine this will be ongoing. In time, and if interest permits, we'll take a look at other parts of the bible such as the Gospel, Paul's letters, etc...
I want to reiterate the likelihood of our having conflicting points of view on many of the issues we'll be discussing. Please respect your fellow brother and sister in Christ who may not see things as you do. We are all part of the Body, and we are all unique and valuable in the Lord as He has designed. Belittling, insulting, disrespecting, or humiliating one another is unacceptable behavior, and will not be tolerated. Let's keep it respectable, but better yet, let's engage one another with the love of Christ, as we are commanded.
I would like to close this announcement with a prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come to you today hungry and thirsty for knowledge. We wish to eat of the Bread of Life and drink from the Living Waters that you have so graciously provided all who would seek your Word. Touch each and everyone of us, Father -- our hearts, our minds, and our souls -- and give us that discernment necessary to properly receive your perfect message. We ask these things in the matchless name of your Son, Christ Jesus. Amen.
Every Blessing,
