Hey, how do you get the responses of others (and scripture references) to go in the little boxes to clarify your responses? Lol! I haven't had the time yet to figure it out. But it certainly would come in handy for me. Is it just a simple copy/paste? Or do you have to do something special? I'm new to forums and all they entail.... Hi, Dana. If you want to respond to something someone has posted then highlight that part of the text in the person's post and then click on the ' Quote ' button in the upper right hand corner, Dana. It will then show the HTML code in brackets surrounding the text. If you want to post a quote from Scripture or from another source you first copy & paste in your post, then highlight it and then click on the ' Insert Quote ' icon on the toolbar. You should then preview it before posting the reply. In the preview the HTLM codes will not be visible if you did it correctly.

World Peace
There will be worldwide peace in the Kingdom Age when the Messiah shall rule over all the nations of the earth from Jerusalem. All disputes among the nations will be judged by Him. He will disarm all nations and there will be no more wars. The problem of world hunger will also be solved because nations will be occupied with agriculture rather than preparing for war. See also Psalm 46:9; Micah 4:3-4

One of the reasons that Jews give for rejecting Jesus as the Messiah is because He did not bring peace.
Question:
If Jesus is the Messiah why isn't there peace?

Thank you so much, Bill! :-) This will be very helpful.

Bill, I believe, re: the question, "If Jesus is the Messiah, why isn't there peace?" that just as you said above that question...Jesus will establish peace in His Kingdom...the 1000 year reign. Now is not the time for peace. I believe the Jews were so intent on the Conquering King prophecies regarding the Messiah (because they desired so much to be out from under the thumb of Rome) that they completely missed the prophecies regarding the Suffering Servant. From the beginning of the promise to Israel, peace came hand in hand with the Kingdom and the King. So, that is what Israel was looking for. When Christ came as the Lamb and the Servant, that didn't fit into their desires or their plans. Even the disciples didn't understand Jesus had to die. They were constantly questioning Jesus... "Lord, at this time will you restore the Kingdom to Israel?" (Acts 1:6) And when He did die, they didn't understand He would raise from the dead (they were shocked that the tomb was empty...). Their eyes and the eyes of Israel were on a King and a Kingdom, not a Lamb to die for their sins, not a Servant to divide their house between those who would believe and those who wouldn't, and certainly not a Savior that would reach out in love and patience to the whole world...even their enemies.

That's true, Dana. Well said.
According to the Scriptures, " the whole world lieth in wickedness " ( 1 John 5:19 ) and is at " enmity with God " ( James 4:4 ). The prophet Isaiah also wrote:
Before there can be world peace the world must first be at peace with God. The only way that is possible is for unregenerate men to come by faith to Jesus Christ (Yeshua Ha Mashiach ) for redemption and for those enemies of God who continue in rebellion against Him to be judged and destroyed. So Jesus the Messiah had to first die for the sins of the world to make atonement to redeem fallen humanity. His purpose, is two-fold: first, to make peace with God on our behalf and then to bring in world peace when He comes again.
However, Messiah is still being rejected by the world including by His own, the nation of Israel. This is why we do not have world peace at the moment.
Michael L. Brown, in his excellent book, Answering Jewish Objections To Jesus: Volume 1, asks another question: “ Why should there be peace on the earth if we rejected the Messiah, the bringer of peace? ” That says it all!

"Enemy of the Jews" - Well folks... I regret to inform that my absence from the CSWI Facebook page is due to the CSWI 'admin' from censoring myself a 'Jew' from the FB board. In other words... As a 'Jew' I am rejected and filtered out of the FB site... God has informed me that He will avenge.
